I was just thinking about the democratic process and how Christ would want us to use the vote to make decisions in some cases. Like immigration.
We could vote on whether or not to allow new immigrants into each county, or not. Let the people in the county decide on allowing immigrants into the counties.
A percentage of people could be given citizenship. Let's say 5% as an example. The government could screen the settlers to make sure they are OK.
Of course Los Angeles and places that already have thousands of illegal immigrants would have to depopulate a little bit while other areas could enlist people from around the globe to even out the amount of settlers.
In America we can handle more immigrants now because we're the wealthiest country in the world. Praise God! And the diverse cultures make our nation stronger. God loves all people for who they are. We can settle more problems through friendship than through division.
There's one God and one heaven. Cultural stagnation leads to economic stagnation.
Defend children who need help. We can afford it.
